Today was the day.
Today was the day that he would finally get his starter Pokemon. He had heard from someone that trainers normally obtained their starters at the age of ten, but that really only pertained to the other regions--something about this region being more dangerous? He didn't know nor did he care. All he needed to keep in mind was that today he would obtain a new nuisance--erm, friend within his life. He shouldn't think of his starter as a nuisance, unless it turned out to be as such. He was stuck with his starter for the rest of his life, or at least until he decided to get something better. He just hopped the Pokemon here were up to par.
Hye-Kyung sighed, running his fingers through his bangs, making sure that the stray hairs did not find themselves on the wrong side of his glasses. He quickly pushed the large, round glasses up to the bridge of his nose before he continued fixing his bangs. Once he was finished, he adjusted his over-sized hoodie, messing with the hem. He probably shouldn't be worrying about his appearance right now, especially not since he was standing in front of the door to the professor's laboratory. Now, let's see, what did Caine call the professor? Hadley? Hamlet? Bob? No, no, no. Harley? That was close... Herley? Yeah, he would go with that. It sounded close enough.
Pushing open the laboratory doors, the boy stepped through and slowly closed it behind him. He glanced around the first room, pushing his glasses back up to the bridge of his nose when they started to slip back down, the glare created cloaking his eyes from the rest of the world. "Hello?" He called out, standing awkwardly by the door as he waited for a response. He wasn't used to Pokemon, he wasn't used to laboratories, and he definitely wasn't used to entering a large building and calling out for someone. He would just have to wait.
